We are frequently asked questions about the following:
Why Credit Card Deposits Are So Important!

A credit card deposit is part of the legal proof that binds me, as your photgrapher, to honor your reserved date and and contract. Considering that most brides make their arrangements a year or two in advance, this really makes sense.

Photographer’s Equipment

I cannot stress enough how I personally feel about the importance of top-of-the-line, modern equipment. Modern, well-maintained equipment is simply more reliable than older equipment, even if that equipment is well-maintained. In addition, the newer, more advanced equipment allows me to concentrate on your affair and the flexibility to shoot faster, and with more accuracy than the older equipment. I feel good and you will feel relaxed and secure when you see me arrive with the latest, most technologically advanced equipment available.

Referrals

Can anything be more important than checking on your wedding photographer’s referrals? It is one of the best ways to ensure that you are dealing with a great wedding photographer. Photographers, like all other business people, want you to be happy with their work so you will tell others about it for the next 50 years. Call each photographer's references before you make your decision. 'Nuff said. GET REFERRALS AND CHECK THEM OUT!

Albums

There are so many great places to get your albums completed; don’t let your album choices determine your photographer. Get the photographs you want, in both quality and quantity, of your wedding day. You have the rest of your life to find an album that suits you. Albums can cost from $100 to $1,000 and every price in-between. After the wedding ceremony and festivities are over, you will cherish the memories captured in your wedding photographs.

Not everyone wants an album. In truth, many people don’t want a big, fancy coffee-table album but really love enlargements, color photos turned black-and-white, or black-and-white turned into sepia tone or hand colored. It’s your money; spend it any way you like. Get lots of really beautiful photos. Every photographer and lab will happily sell you reprints, enlargements, and albums later on. However, the original way we capture the most important day of your life is paramount to all other concerns.

Negatives

You should have the choice to either keep your negatives or have your photographer keep them. While most photgraphers will not provide you with this choice, I do! If you have the negatives you can make you own enlargements and copies of photgraphs for friends and family without having to pay your photgrapher a premium service charge for reprints. Furthermore, you will be able to make copies of any of the photographs that you desire, WHENEVER AND WHEREVER you so desire.

Experience

I’ll be the first to congratulate and welcome new photographers into this field. It’s a tough business where 90% of those who start out subsequently fail and go into something else. Those who survive the first few years are usually good. I have been in business for 15 years. A photographer should be able to show you plenty of wedding photos and references from clients, other wedding professionals, and photographic professionals who will vouch for her or him. It is preferable for for your photographer to have a broad portfolio documenting different types of weddings, in various settings, for a variety of religions. Again, when you visit a photographer and see plenty of what you like, then you know you are on the right track.

Backup

At least two photographers and backup equipment cover every wedding we shoot. In my humble opinion, the photographer who single-handedly tries to shoot an entire wedding with one camera seems to be taking an awful risk.

Enthusiasm

When you interview a photographer, if he or she seems tired and bored, imagine how the final prints will look. Show me a photographer with enthusiasm, and I’ll show you someone who will capture great memories and add to the joy of the celebration.
